TELL ME ABOUT YOUR CURRENT BUSINESS. WHAT ARE YOU DOING EXACTLY?
I’m a Transformational Life Coach who helps individuals bridge the gap from where they are now to where they are destined to be.
HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH YOUR BUSINESS IDEA?
I strongly believe that this business idea chose me. Years ago I had so many different signs and I was too busy trying to do what society thought was right for all young women. I told myself that one day I would become a Life Coach, not knowing that it was already happening and I just had to accept it. Once I became more grounded and more self-aware I realized I didn’t have to wait to make this dream my reality. Just like that, I went in head first.
WHAT WERE YOU DOING BEFORE THIS, AND IS THIS YOUR FIRST BUSINESS?
Before being a Transformational Life Coach I worked in the healthcare field for approximately seven years. Eronica Aljoe International is my first business and it’s paving the way for so many more business adventures.
WHAT SPECIFIC ADVICE WOULD YOU HAVE FOR YOUNG WOMEN WHO WOULD LIKE TO BECOME AN ENTREPRENEUR?
Where you are now isn’t where you have to stay. If you have a dream and a passion to do something that’s bigger than you, I say go for it. Go for it now! It’s never too late to live your passion, and it’s never too late to get started. My entire business revolves around helping individuals get unstuck so they can reach their highest potential.
MY GREATEST OBSTACLE AND HOW I DEALT WITH IT:
Self-doubt and not setting boundaries were two of my greatest obstacles. These obstacles were detrimental and prevented me from starting my business. Once I became more aligned with my goals and my passion, I’ve learned that self-doubts are limiting beliefs we have about ourselves that aren’t true. After setting proper boundaries I was able to structure my business and my life. I no longer felt guilty when I say yes to my dreams.
MY PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT:
My greatest accomplishments are being able to help individuals become who they really want to be and live the life that they truly desire.
HOW DO YOU BLEND LIFE AND WORK
My life is my business so blending it to create the life I desire isn’t a challenge for me. From a young age, it’s been my mission to help and create lasting change in the world. I also accomplish this by maintaining a structure. I set a specific work schedule and I set boundaries. I also factor in family and personal time during each work week. The more I accomplish in my business the more I accomplish in my life.
I AM INSPIRED BY:
I’m inspired by the opportunity to help individuals live their best lives. It gives me the drive to use my passion to help them find theirs. I also read a lot and the book Think and Grow Rich is one of my favourite reads.
WHY I CHOSE THIS CAREER:
In life no matter what you think you want, you will always get what’s yours. This career chose me and I’m grateful to be a beacon that spreads light into the world.
HOW I PREPARE FOR SUCCESS:
I prepare for success by being grateful. In the morning I start my day with a gratitude prayer. I create daily affirmations or use ones that I come across that serves me. Meditation and yoga are also a part of my nightly practice. I have a set time where I turn off all communications with the outside world and tune into myself. This purifies my energy and gets me ready for another productive day.
DID YOU WRITE A BUSINESS PLAN? WAS IT AN EFFECTIVE TOOL FOR YOU?
I did not write a business plan. What I did was set goals with specific timelines and worked non-stop towards them.
ARE THERE SPECIFIC ADVANTAGES, DISADVANTAGES TO BEING A WOMEN BUSINESS OWNER?
I don’t see the disadvantages, what I see are all the amazing advantages. When a woman wins everyone around her also wins. Women are amazing leaders and by using my business to empower more women I hope to change the world one woman at a time.
MY FAVOURITE BUSINESS TOOL IS…
My favourite business tools are mentors and books. I’m a serial learner and I have learned so much from my mentors and from reading.
THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE I HAVE EVER BEEN GIVEN IS…
The best advice I was given was from one of my mentors. She said, when we don’t bring our gifts and our light to the world, we are stealing from all the people who need our help. This helps me get out of my own head and realize that in life all of us are unique in our own way. The world needs our gifts.
