TELL ME ABOUT YOUR CURRENT BUSINESS. WHAT ARE YOU DOING EXACTLY?
Hi, my name is Iep and I’m a 21-year-old photographer specialized in photographing female entrepreneurs. I help creative female entrepreneurs to strengthen their personal brand with images so that they can attract more ideal customers and make an impact. Because I believe that you attract more ideal customers and make more impact as soon as your images match with who you are and what you radiate.
HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH YOUR BUSINESS IDEA?
I really enjoy photographing women anyway, because I can identify with them and vice versa and the piece of styling that comes with a shoot. I had just started doing business and discovered that there was no photographer for female entrepreneurs at all. I saw an opportunity to be one of the first to offer it and so it happened.
WHAT WERE YOU DOING BEFORE THIS, AND IS THIS YOUR FIRST BUSINESS?
Before I started my own company, I studied photography and immediately after that I started this company. So this is my first business.
WHAT SPECIFIC ADVICE WOULD YOU HAVE FOR YOUNG WOMEN WHO WOULD LIKE TO BECOME AN ENTREPRENEUR?
My advice is to really go after your dream and not to listen to people who don’t trust you or your dream. If you really want something, you can do it!

I wrote my first book called ‘Picture Perfect’ which will be released in July 2019 by Kosmos publishers.
HOW I BLEND LIFE AND WORK TO CREATE THE LIFE I WANT:

One of my biggest inspirations is Brené Brown, Michelle Obama and Beyoncé. They are such powerful women with so much wisdom.
WHY I CHOSE THIS CAREER:
This career has my heart. It gives me so much energy. I meet so many fascinating women and have the best conversations and I get to experience the coolest adventures. In addition to that, it wasn’t an option for me to be working underemployment. I yearn for freedom and to organize my own time.
HOW I PREPARE FOR SUCCESS:
I prepare for success by staying close to myself and my mission. By not distracting myself through others and to continue to keep focusing on my own.
DID YOU WRITE A BUSINESS PLAN? WAS IT AN EFFECTIVE TOOL FOR YOU?
I had to write a business plan for my studies. I haven’t used it for my own company. But by writing the business plan, for my studies, I have had a good preparation for starting my own business.

ARE THERE SPECIFIC ADVANTAGES, DISADVANTAGES TO BEING A WOMEN BUSINESS OWNER?
The biggest advantage is that you as a woman may and can run a business on your own. I think it’s fantastic that I got the opportunity to do so and I took it. The biggest disadvantage for me is that there have been times where I have been taken less seriously because I’m a woman. To give an example, others often say that I am a small company rather than a company. This won’t be said to men, or less quick, while I am just as full-fledged as a woman.
MY FAVOURITE BUSINESS TOOL IS…
My favourite business tool is social media and especially Instagram. I get the most customers through that platform. For planning my content, I use the app Planoly and that is by far my favourite tool.

The best advice has been that I don’t have to do it all by myself, that no is also an answer and that I can enjoy from all that I have already achieved.
