Throughout the years I have seen many people who have found purpose in their pain. Pain from their traumas, trails, lows, injustices… Last week I read a quote that said; “ The places you’ve been hurt the deepest are often the places God will use you the most. It resonated with me because this is exactly what HE did with me. My blog Paperbeau was built out of pain and I never thought that I would touch so many readers. I’ve gotten many messages from readers all over the world telling me how a blog post inspired them. I believe that God keeps orchestrating all these different avenues to speak on my lowest moments.
“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” – James 1:2-4
You may not feel worthy, but throughout all time, God chooses the broken, the wounded, the afflicted, the suffered, the mistaken, the abused, the overlooked to give hope to the world. Throughout the Bible we see God using imperfect people for the sake of his mission to bring hope. Because of this I truly believe it’s good to tell your story, your testimonial. Speak about how God has used you and has given you triumph, victory, joy, peace fulfilment and more. It gives hope to the wounded.
“He didn’t call the popular, rich or successful to further his ministry, but rather, the poor, broken and faithful.”
See the gift through your trails and unwrap your gift. Lose the shame for we are a community of souls. The Lord tells us that we will face trials, but that we should never lose hope and to stay encouraged, for the Lord had called you an overcomer! YOU have the tools to teach someone else to overcome, and therein lies the purpose of your pain.
